Lake Rebecca Park Reserve- Rockford, MN

Despite living in the twin cities most of my life, I had never ventured to the Rockford/Delano area until this summer. I’ve always thought it was so far out of the cities and I was surprised that it wasn’t a long drive from the suburb we were staying. We decided to try the playground at Lake Rebecca Park Reserve and it did not disappoint. Several people at the playground mentioned that the lake was a great spot to swim too. Yet, we didn’t plan on swimming that day. The park consisted of several different areas, including a large tower with two huge slides, a climbing log area, a regular playground with nature elements, and a log cabin with a variety of nature areas to explore. Despite spending several hours here, my kids barely went up to the regular playground area. Instead, they spent their time playing house in the log cabin, climbing the huge tower, and exploring the large log. Another part of the park they enjoyed was the scavenger hunt for items throughout the park. It was engaging, enjoyable, and easy enough for my four year old to do independently. Definitely a park to add to your list to visit!
