If you have never visited a pizza farm, you need to! It’s an incredible experience for all family members. Tucked into farm fields in Waseca, Minnesota, which is less than an hour and a half drive from the Twin Cities, lies a hobby farm called Pleasant Grove Pizza Farm. Even just driving in, this farm gives off an inviting and relaxing atmosphere. We’ve gone twice and both times, every family member has left happy, full, and excited to come back. Both times, we got the “Chuck” pizza and pizza fries. The first time we came, we also got a dessert pizza. As we waited for our pizza, we found a spot to put our stuff. While waiting, we explored a few trails, watched the goats and alpacas, and played a few yard games they had out. Our kids LOVED it! There was also, live music that we all enjoyed.

Despite the heat of the night we came, it was such a beautiful setting and night! Butterflies were flying around the flowers, a bright blue sky above us, the dinging of the bell to signal orders up, and delicious smells filling the farm. We couldn’t ask for a better adventure! When our food arrived, we devoured it. The pizza fries are unlike any other cheese bread I’ve tried and their marinara sauce with them tasted so fresh. Our “Chuck” pizza was also, delicious and our youngest couldn’t stop asking for more pieces. As we finished eating and cleaning up, the kids continued to look around and admire the stunning views of the farm and animals. This location would make such a wonderful date night, family night, girl’s night, or even a great location for getting a group of families together to hang out. Truly, it’s an experience you have to do before the winter! Definitely a memory for your family and something you’ll talk about for a while.

A few notes for you about Pleasant Grove:
- You can bring alcohol in.
- It’s a “clean farm”. This means you bring in everything you would need. Table, chairs, blanket, plates, beverages, napkins, stuff to do, and even a trash bag! The pizza is already cut, so no need to bring a pizza slicer.
- There is limited shade at the farm, so plan accordingly. People do bring pop-up canopies if they plan on staying for a few hours.
- There are bathrooms.
- Check out their Facebook page for specials, open hours and days, and any special information for the week.
