This is by far, one of the coolest things I’ve ever gone to. It’s a completely unique experience and I feel like being in the middle of rural Minnesota makes it even more special. At a wide open space (an airport), there’s tons of kites just waving in the sky. A completely free event, it’s worth it for people of all ages to see kites of varying colors, shapes, sizes, and types flying through the air. You can bring your own kite to fly there, alongside the pros, or you can make a kite (for a fee) at the event. Also, at the event, there are a few other activities for kids to participate in, such as bubble stations, sidewalk chalk, and the Ecology bus stocked full of information to learn. If interested, this year’s event is September 9th from 10 am to 4 pm. Attend and be blessed with the stunning views of the kites!
