After visiting Lake Rebecca Reserve Park, someone had recommended we try Peppermint Twist on the way out of town. Since my family never turns down ice cream, it was a no-brainer to stop. I’m so glad we did because this place was such a hit with the kids. When we pulled up, we had the option of doing a drive-in option or walking up to the window. Since there aren’t many drive-ins anymore and it’s such an enjoyable experience, we decided to drive up. Two of our kids got an italian ice and my husband enjoyed a strawberry shake. Surprisingly, the drive-in wasn’t the most exciting part for the kids. Peppermint Twist had an adorable play area with a multitude of toys and games to play with. They were able to enjoy their treats while trying out some of the toys and playing frisbee golf. Fun details made the kids giggle and want to explore more, such as stuffed animals in the trees and little bears throughout the space. My son also, loved that there were dinosaurs to look at and explore too. If you are in the area, it’s for sure worth the stop!
