We decided to visit Autumn Acres Farm today for their sunflower field. Only 15 minutes outside of Mankato, it was a shock to find this beauty so close to such a huge city. As we pulled up, we were greeted by the field of sunflowers and despite our rainfall a few days ago, they were still breath-taking! Walking closer, we were greeted by the buzz of bees busy at work and the hot sun shining down on us. This was the perfect size for young kids as there were a few trails through the sunflower field and a few photo props/opportunities, but it wasn’t overwhelming and it was definitely short enough trails that even my one year old could do them. You could tell how much love was put into this field to make it happen. There was mud still from the previous rainfall, so make sure to bring extra shoes or shoes that you can clean easily. A cool thing about this sunflower field is that their pride and joy is actually their pumpkins, so the sunflower field is just a pre-show of what’s to come in the next few months. There are only a few more days (most likely) for the sunflower field to stay open, but put this on your list for a fun fall spot to visit for pumpkins and a reminder to come to the sunflower field next summer. We most definitely will be back later in the season for more fun and beauty of the farm!
Hours are 10 am to sunset. Suggested donation is $4/person. More information can be found on Facebook, Instagram, and their website.

UPDATE: We visited again in 2024. These are some of the breathtakingly beautiful views of the field this year. Highly recommend coming out to support this amazing business who pours their hearts into their farm for all of us to enjoy!

Until my next adventure,
Allie
